About

Rhea Cai is a Chinese Australian poet and writer based in Sydney. In the day, she works as a management consultant. At night, she spawns into a poet, a writer, a bookstagrammer, an avid consumer of chocolate, and a voracious reader.

She is interested in questions about the unsayable/untranslatable, generational memory, and the diaspora experience. She also enjoys writing speculative fiction about artificial intelligence, consciousness, and the soul.

She has an Honours degree in English Literature from Sydney University, where she also won the Australian Federation of Graduate Women (NSW) Prize for Essays in English (2017 and 2018) and was the University of Sydney Union Creative Awards (Word) Winner in 2017.

You can find more of her reading and writing antics on Substack and Instagram.
